The source is an update on Guatemala in 1963 by the human rights group, Amnesty International. It was created by a human rights group, with the purpose of addressing and making the public aware of the human rights violations that were happening in Guatemala at the time. It reflects the morals and values of the group.
They speak about the human rights violations and the actions of the group to try to address the disappearances and punish those responsible. This is historically important as this is tied into the Coup and the guerillas responsible. This is important, as we are actively seeing the government deny and ignore the requests for information and change in their letter.
